Your Eternal Future

“Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.” John 3:36

The Bible makes a clear distinction about the eternal future of those who have accepted Jesus as their savior and Lord and those who have not. As the verse above says, “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life.” And this eternal life is not just a continuation of this life here on earth with all of its ups and downs. It’s life to the fullest with no downs!

Of this glorious eternal life Revelation 21:4 says, “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” And the psalmist exclaims, “you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.” (Psalm 16:11) Life just can’t get any better than that.

By contrast those without Christ face only the terrible prospect of God’s judgment because no one is righteous enough to stand before God on his own merit. As the verse above points out, “whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.” “It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.” (Hebrews 10:31) To avoid God’s judgment you must accept his offer of salvation by accepting his Son, Jesus, as the atoning sacrifice for your sins.

You have a choice: eternal pleasure in the presence of God or eternal separation from him under the wrath of his judgment. Please choose God’s free gift of salvation through the shed blood of Jesus and receive the promised blessings of eternal life. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
