At Maple Root we understand how important it is to bring others to Christ. Every year we offer many outreach events that we encourage our members to invite others to. Not only are they a great time for fellowship, but they are also an amazing opportunity to show others the love of Christ. Below are some of the events we continue to hold:

Annual Lunch with Dan
Our co-pastor, Dan, is the Baseball Chaplin for the Connecticut Tigers. Each summer he devotes himself to teaching, encouraging, and spending time with the players, coaches, and staff.  To support Dan in his endeavors and to offer a fun, family-oriented event, Maple Root sponsors an annual BBQ lunch with Dan at Dodd Stadium followed by a baseball game.
Over 20 Years of Softball Tournaments
Maple Root is blessed to have the beautiful R Henry Bell softball field behind its buildings! Since 1996, we’ve been hosting an annual softball tournament to bring the community together and to raise money for a local charity or family in need. It is a wonderful opportunity to invite friends and family for a relaxed day full of friendly competition, delicious food, and great conversation!
Christmas Eve and Easter services
Christmas and Easter are the perfect reasons to invite friends, family, and neighbors to come to church! They are important times of the year to remember Christ – who he is, what he’s done for us! Help to spread the message of Jesus Christ by inviting someone you know to join us!
Annual Friends and Family Thanksgiving Dinner
Every year on the day before Thanksgiving we host a Thanksgiving dinner for our local church and community. Members are encouraged to invite friends, family, and neighbors to this delicious meal. We share a short message after we eat to encourage those who don’t yet know the love of Christ.
Men’s Breakfasts
Once or twice a month, we host a men’s breakfast on Saturday mornings in the Andrews Building. There’s always a home-cooked pancake breakfast and fresh-brewed coffee which makes easy to invite a friend, neighbor, or co-worker! After a filling breakfast one of our pastors or a guest speaker shares a short message.
Reverb is an action-packed all-night event for our youth group, hosted by Word of Life! The night kicks off at the Providence Bruins followed by an interactive rally with music, games, and tons of prizes. During the rally, we hear a short, compelling Gospel presentation. After that we celebrate the rest of the night at Teamworks, where there are inflatables, sports tournaments, archery tag, dodge ball and more, followed by bowling! We encourage all of our youth group students to invite their friends, so we can share the good news while having a blast!
